Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV)

An energy recovery ventilator (ERV) is a mechanical system used in HVAC to improve indoor air quality and energy efficiency. It functions by exchanging stale, polluted indoor air with fresh outdoor air while transferring heat and moisture between the air streams. This means that in cold weather, it recovers heat and moisture from the outgoing air to warm and humidify the incoming air, and in warm weather, it transfers heat and moisture from the incoming air to the outgoing air to help keep the indoor environment cool and dry. This process helps maintain a comfortable indoor climate while reducing the energy needed for heating or cooling.

From the first phone call, I was impressed, I spoke to Jennifer and on a follow up call, I spoke to Gracie. Both are related to the owner Jonathan who came out today and gave me a breakdown and an idea of what is needed and proposed how to go about doing a mini split, which I’m excited to get done, so much so that I wanted to give a review, even before the work begins which I’m sure will be excellent. He recommended a good brand Mitsubishi and explained why he chooses them, giving a very detailed explanation. We've been doing a complete renovation of our family home of 30 years to sell and retire. We also needed to make sure we had adequate insulation and have the ductwork inspected. I called Paradise Heating and Air, and found that this was a service they could provide. They were very responsive. I had an estimate within a few days and the job completed the following week. They fixed anything that could become a problem and blew in the amount of insulation to meet the current Hoover building code. Jonathan was so friendly, explained everything that was done and the cost was very reasonable. In fact he talked me out of insulating an area that wasn't really needed!!!
