Humidity, winter
During winter, indoor humidity levels often drop too low because cold outdoor air holds less moisture. This can lead to health issues like dry skin and respiratory discomfort, increased static electricity, and damage to wooden furniture and other possessions. It can also make the air feel colder, causing discomfort. Adding moisture to the air with a humidifier helps maintain optimal indoor humidity levels (typically 30%–50%), which can make the environment feel warmer, reduce health and static issues, protect belongings, and even allow homeowners to lower their thermostats slightly and save on heating costs.
