Ignition
Ignition refers to the process of starting a combustion reaction in a fuel source, commonly found in HVAC systems like furnaces or boilers. This happens when a spark, pilot light, or hot surface igniter ignites the fuel (such as natural gas, propane, or oil), creating a flame that produces heat to warm air or water in the system. Proper ignition is critical for the efficient and safe operation of heating equipment.
