Setpoint
The setpoint is the desired target value for a specific parameter, such as temperature or pressure, in an HVAC system. It is the value that a thermostat or controller aims to maintain by adjusting system operations. For example, if you set your thermostat to 72°F, that temperature becomes the setpoint, and the HVAC system will work to keep the indoor temperature around that value.
