A thermocouple is a sensor made of two dissimilar metal wires joined at one end, which generates a small voltage when there is a temperature difference between the joined end (called the “hot junction”) and the other ends (called the “cold junction” or reference junction). This voltage increases as the temperature difference grows, allowing the device to measure temperature. Thermocouples are commonly used in HVAC systems to monitor and control temperature, especially in gas-powered equipment like furnaces and water heaters.

I was extremely impressed with Paradise Air and am very glad I found them. I have a very old HVAC system they needed some ducts and a condensate pump replaced. They were extremely thorough and clearly explained everything they planned on doing. The price was excellent given how much work they had to do in the crawlspace and the extra time they spent with me advising me on how to get as much out of my old system as I could. They weren’t there to try to sell me a new system. They were there to repair what I asked them to at a reasonable price and help me extend the life of my current system. I won’t even think of calling anyone else from now on.

2025 UPDATE: I needed Jonathan service on Friday, April 3rd. I called his office at 6:40. Jonathan arrived at my home by 2 o’clock that afternoon. Got my unit back up and running in less than an hour. The team at Paradise heating and cooling. Always provide exceptional, customer service and expertise.
