A degree-day is a measurement used in HVAC and energy analysis to estimate the demand for heating or cooling a building. It is calculated based on the difference between a base temperature—commonly 65 degrees Fahrenheit—and the average outdoor temperature for a day. For heating, degree-days are calculated when the outdoor temperature is below 65°F, and for cooling, they are calculated when the temperature is above 65°F. This metric helps predict energy usage and system requirements to maintain comfort indoors.

One of our AC units decided to give up, or so we thought. We had several companies come out and give us a quote to replace our unit, all exceeding $13k. Paradise came out, and instead of just giving a price to replace it, they asked if they could tinker with the equipment. They had it fixed within 10 minutes!!! Paradise gave us a quote so we have an idea of the cost for when this ancient unit ACTUALLY dies, and it was $3k-$8k cheaper than our other quotes!!! They could have easily just given us a price for a new unit like everyone else. I appreciate that Paradise put forth the effort to figure out the problem, and saved us THOUSANDS!!!

I was extremely impressed with Paradise Air and am very glad I found them. I have a very old HVAC system they needed some ducts and a condensate pump replaced. They were extremely thorough and clearly explained everything they planned on doing. The price was excellent given how much work they had to do in the crawlspace and the extra time they spent with me advising me on how to get as much out of my old system as I could. They weren’t there to try to sell me a new system. They were there to repair what I asked them to at a reasonable price and help me extend the life of my current system. Paradise answered my call late at night and made me an appointment for first thing in the morning and even showed up early. They crawled under my rental house through the dirt and mud to inform me that my landlord had me living in a dangerous environment. We recently bought a home and right away one of the AC units failed. Of course it was after hours (do AC units ever fail not after hours?).
