PSI
PSI refers to “Pounds Per Square Inch,” which is a unit of pressure measurement. It describes the amount of force applied over one square inch of area. In HVAC systems, PSI is commonly used to measure the pressure of refrigerants in different parts of the system, as well as the pressure in compressed air systems or gas lines. Proper PSI levels are critical for the efficient and safe operation of HVAC equipment.
