Clean Air Delivery Rate

« Back to Glossary Index

A measurement used to evaluate how effectively an air purifier can clean the air in a specific space. Clean Air Delivery Rate indicates the volume of clean air (measured in cubic feet) the purifier can deliver per minute. Higher CADR numbers mean the unit can filter out pollutants, like dust, pollen, and smoke, more quickly for a given room size. This measurement takes into account both the air purifier’s airflow and its filtration efficiency.
