Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) refers to the company that originally designs and manufactures a product or component that is later sold under another company’s brand name. In HVAC, OEM parts are the original components produced by the system’s manufacturer, ensuring compatibility and performance consistent with the original design. These parts are often preferred for repairs or replacements because they match the specific requirements of the system.

One of our AC units decided to give up, or so we thought. We had several companies come out and give us a quote to replace our unit, all exceeding $13k.
