R-410A Refrigerant

R-410A is a chlorine-free hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant commonly used in residential and light commercial air conditioning and heat pump systems. It was introduced as an environmentally safer alternative to R-22 because it does not contain ozone-depleting chlorine. Developed and patented by Honeywell in 1991, R-410A operates at higher pressures than R-22, offering improved energy efficiency and better heat transfer. It has become the standard refrigerant for newer HVAC systems due to its lower environmental impact and compliance with regulations phasing out ozone-depleting substances.

I was extremely impressed with Paradise Air and am very glad I found them. I have a very old HVAC system they needed some ducts and a condensate pump replaced. They were extremely thorough and clearly explained everything they planned on doing. The price was excellent given how much work they had to do in the crawlspace and the extra time they spent with me advising me on how to get as much out of my old system as I could. They weren’t there to try to sell me a new system. They were there to repair what I asked them to at a reasonable price and help me extend the life of my current system. They didn’t try to over sell work I didn’t need, and were honest with what exactly was needed to get us back on track. Techs Jonathan and Matthew came out for the initial inspection and service and came back to do the attic insulation. They were patient and knowledgeable (I ask a lot of questions) and took their time. They found all the places that my system was leaking (out and in) air, fixed them, and then filled the attic.
