R-410A Refrigerant

R-410A is a chlorine-free hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant commonly used in residential and light commercial air conditioning and heat pump systems. It was introduced as an environmentally safer alternative to R-22 because it does not contain ozone-depleting chlorine. Developed and patented by Honeywell in 1991, R-410A operates at higher pressures than R-22, offering improved energy efficiency and better heat transfer. It has become the standard refrigerant for newer HVAC systems due to its lower environmental impact and compliance with regulations phasing out ozone-depleting substances.

One of our AC units decided to give up, or so we thought. We had several companies come out and give us a quote to replace our unit, all exceeding $13k. Paradise came out, and instead of just giving a price to replace it, they asked if they could tinker with the equipment. They had it fixed within 10 minutes!!! I was extremely impressed with Paradise Air and am very glad I found them. I have a very old HVAC system they needed some ducts and a condensate pump replaced. They were extremely thorough and clearly explained everything they planned on doing. The price was excellent given how much work they had to do in the crawlspace and the extra time they spent with me advising me on how to get as much out of my old system as I could. They weren’t there to try to sell me a new system. They were there to repair what I asked them to at a reasonable price and help me extend the life of my current system.
