Thermostatic expansion valve

A thermostatic expansion valve (TXV), also called a thermal expansion valve, is a device used in HVAC systems to regulate the amount of refrigerant that enters the evaporator coil. It adjusts the flow of refrigerant based on the superheat—a measure of how much the refrigerant gas has been heated above its boiling point. By doing this, it ensures the evaporator operates efficiently, preventing too much or too little refrigerant from flowing in. This helps maintain consistent system performance and protects the compressor from damage caused by liquid refrigerant.

They were extremely thorough and clearly explained everything they planned on doing. Paradise answered my call late at night and made me an appointment for first thing in the morning and even showed up early. They crawled under my rental house through the dirt and mud to inform me that my landlord had me living in a dangerous environment. He was upfront and honest about everything and let me know the steps I needed to do to get my family out of this situation. I had paradise come out to get me started with their paradise maintenance package, and had them take a look at my attic because we had concerns with our insulation not being adequate. They didn’t try to over sell work I didn’t need, and were honest with what exactly was needed to get us back on track. Techs Jonathan and Matthew came out for the initial inspection and service and came back to do the attic insulation. They were patient and knowledgeable (I ask a lot of questions) and took their time. They found all the places that my system was leaking (out and in) air, fixed them, and then filled the attic.
