EER, or Energy Efficiency Ratio, is a measurement used to show how efficiently an HVAC system, such as an air conditioner or heat pump, operates at a steady state. It is calculated by dividing the system’s cooling output (measured in BTUs) by the energy it consumes (measured in watts) under specific conditions. A higher EER means the system is more energy-efficient. Typically, EER is tested at an outdoor temperature of 95°F, an indoor temperature of 80°F, and a relative humidity of 50%. This measurement is useful for comparing cooling equipment, especially in regions with consistently high temperatures.

Update: May 2026 Paradise came and serviced my business and home this week per the service agreement I asked them to sign me up for. Paradise answered my call late at night and made me an appointment for first thing in the morning and even showed up early. They crawled under my rental house through the dirt and mud to inform me that my landlord had me living in a dangerous environment. He was upfront and honest about everything and let me know the steps I needed to do to get my family out of this situation. No bandaid fixes from these guys, they do things in a professional manner and I couldn’t be more appreciative. Top notch customer service. Highly recommend!
