Gas Package
A gas package unit is a type of “all-in-one” HVAC system that combines a gas furnace for heating and an electric air conditioner for cooling in a single outdoor cabinet. This system is typically installed outside your home, with the only indoor component being the thermostat. Gas package units save indoor space since there’s no need for a separate air handler or furnace inside the home. However, because the entire system is exposed to outdoor elements, it can be more vulnerable to weather-related wear and tear compared to systems with indoor components.
