Heating Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF)

The Heating Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF) is a measurement used to rate the efficiency of heat pumps in heating mode over an entire heating season. It is calculated by dividing the total heating output (in British Thermal Units or BTUs) by the total electricity consumed (in watt-hours) during the same period. A higher HSPF number indicates a more energy-efficient heat pump, meaning it can provide more heat while using less electricity.

Paradise answered my call late at night and made me an appointment for first thing in the morning and even showed up early. We've been doing a complete renovation of our family home of 30 years to sell and retire. We also needed to make sure we had adequate insulation and have the ductwork inspected. I called Paradise Heating and Air, and found that this was a service they could provide. They were very responsive. I had an estimate within a few days and the job completed the following week. They fixed anything that could become a problem and blew in the amount of insulation to meet the current Hoover building code. Jonathan was so friendly, explained everything that was done and the cost was very reasonable. In fact he talked me out of insulating an area that wasn't really needed!!! Very HONEST! Very knowledgable, an expert. patient, very polite. I got 3 quotes on repairing two small open cracks in the furnace vent pipe. His assessment was identical to another long-standing HVAC company. I have great confidence in Paradise HVAC company!!! I got 3 different companies for quotes on repairing two small open cracks in the furnace vent pipe. The 1st company who quoted said I might need to change my whole furnace and hot water heater system to electric!!!. And also was gonna hire a chimney sweep (at my expense!) to assess my chimney!!! Jonathan of Paradise HVAC just climbed up on the roof three times (necessary) himself and said the chimney flue was in good shape. I trust Paradise completely, but I got the same diagnosis and a much lower estimate from another company. That’s the only reason I didn’t use paradise.
