PSC stands for “Permanent Split Capacitor,” which is a type of motor commonly used in HVAC systems for fans and pumps. These motors run on AC voltage and operate at a fixed speed, sometimes offering two or three preset speed options. However, they are generally less energy-efficient compared to newer motor technologies, as they lack the ability to adjust speeds dynamically. This fixed-speed operation can lead to less precision in comfort control and higher energy consumption.

If only all of our consumer needs were met like the service provided by the team at Paradise Heating and Air. From the very cordial and helpful Paradise employee who answered our after-hours, weekend phone call to the technical service provided by Jonathan and Matthew on Monday - we couldn’t be more pleased. We were informed every step of the way via text of all pertinent information including: scheduled appointment time, tech arrival time with the id’s of technicians who would be performing the work. Jonathan and Matthew arrived five minutes earlier than the one hour scheduled window (no no-shows here), did what they had to do and didn’t use weaponry to determine labor costs.
