Indoor Coil
The indoor coil, also known as the evaporator coil, is an essential part of an air conditioning or heat pump system. It works by absorbing heat from the indoor air to cool your home. Inside the coil, cold refrigerant flows and absorbs heat from the air that passes over it. Once the heat is removed, the now-cooled air is circulated back into your living space. The indoor coil is usually housed within the air handler unit or positioned above the furnace in central HVAC systems.
